Whew! This path isn’t for the faint of heart! Ladies, if you are an entrepreneur or a visionary, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
If you’re thinking of becoming an entrepreneur, just know that it will not be a walk in the park. I believe in the Law of Attraction but that doesn’t mean everything is going to just fall in your lap or that you will never be disappointed or that things will always go as planned. Like anything else, it’s a process. Life happens to all of us. I do not believe everyone has to be an entrepreneur. The reality is that everyone is not cut out for it. Actions speak louder than words. We all talk a good talk. We all say things that sound good but in reality, our actions don’t align and often aren’t consistent. People who are not entrepreneurs or people that have NOT taken any risks or put anything on the line for a goal or a dream don’t have the experience to speak on it. Most people play it safe. If it were that easy, everybody would do it. I don’t believe you have to be perfect to provide reasonable advice. However, most people play it safe. Therefore, they’re not speaking from having any experience whatsoever.
At the time of writing this article, I own 2 LLC’s. I am still a work in progress and have plenty of goals to hit. But I’m on the way, I’m on the path. I had to learn to look at tangible evidence. I mentioned that in a previous article. What is the tangible evidence of what you claim? There’s a successful woman I like that I’ve followed for years and I remember she and her husband posted a video while they were on vacation where she said something to the effect of…”you out here talkin about you’re a boss and you don’t even know what an LLC is.” I busted out laughing. But it’s true nonetheless. We have to get real ladies. We have to take ourselves more seriously. The idea of something versus the reality of something. It’s easy to chant and high five about being a boss yet in reality, ain’t no boss moves being made. It’s the same ol’ same ol’ year after year. You have no tangible evidence that suggests otherwise. Be honest with yourself.
You do not have to be an entrepreneur if that is not what you want. Don’t do it to be cool or to try and fit in. There’s nothing wrong with your 9-5 job if you’re better suited for that lifestyle. There’s nothing wrong with the corporate America environment if that works for you. Be honest with yourself. The truth will manifest itself. Don’t try to jump on the entrepreneur bandwagon if it’s not for you. I would also then say not to be a dream killer or make snide remarks towards the women who are on that path. Don’t hate on the woman who is where you want to be. She made a choice, just like you made a choice. Karma is a b*tch. Something I learned from the book “The Millionaire Mind” by T Harv Eker which is one of my favorites is that you have to bless that which you want to have. Hating on the woman who has what you want doesn’t bring you positivity.
If you’ve been talking about starting a business for the past 20 years, what are you waiting on? Life is short ladies. It will never be perfect I assure you. Can you do your due diligence in having a plan and saving up to launch your business? Of course. But even then, it doesn’t mean everything is going to go perfectly. It will never be a perfect time. You won’t have everything figured out. You don‘t know everything. You build the plane as you fly. Hence, why you hear many successful people say that you have to jump. At some point, you have to take a leap of faith. Otherwise, you will never know but you will also never get any closer to the goal or dream. I’m still learning. Personal growth and personal development is ongoing. I think through this process, you learn a lot about yourself. I believe you learn who your real friends are. You learn how genuine certain family members are. It’s very much a spiritual journey. Things will surface for you to heal within yourself which affects everything. It’s not for the weak. Don’t let that intimidate you. You are a strong woman. You can handle whatever is thrown your way. God won’t give you more than you can bear, remember? So it wouldn’t come to you if you couldn’t handle it. I have to remind myself. Success is not a perfect straight line. Don’t let anyone fool you. I can’t think of 1 successful person that became successful without any disappointments, obstacles, challenges, things not going as planned, losing people along the way, etc. Not one!
For my fellow visionaries, entrepreneurs, empire builders…keep going Queens! You have to believe you will get there. I know it isn’t easy. Having lost my mom and my sister within a year of each other last year, add grief in the mix. I want to quit at times. It can be very lonely as you’re growing and elevating yourself. But you have to shed the old energies. There’s no way around that. You cannot go higher with the same mindset that kept you in a low vibration. You cannot elevate yourself associating with the same people that kept you at a low level. It hurts sometimes, it sucks but it’s a part of the process. Know that I am your sister in spirit wherever you are in the world. I would love to connect with other mature, like-minded boss women. So feel free to send me a DM on IG. You can also join my free women’s group on FB. The path to entrepreneurship isn’t easy but I’m sure it’ll be worth it. I’m on the journey with you. Believe in yourself. Stay focused. Stay in good spirits. You got this. And Queen on with your bad self…
